Ubisoft x Anywr: delivering personalised relocation for every employee

At Ubisoft we strive to attract the best talent to create our best games. It is not always possible to find this talent locally, so we search for it internationally or in other provinces across Canada.

At the time, we wanted to improve our employee experience and this required us to work with an external partner. It is important to us that the external partner is local because we want someone who truly understands the landscape to best support our employees.

Over the years we realised that the spouses of our employees were not always well integrated. This integration presents certain challenges; there can be tensions within couples or sometimes even a desire to return home. This is why we began to question the best way to support spouses and make their integration easier.

From the moment our recruitment team hires someone internationally, outside the hiring province or locally but under temporary status, my team takes the lead on the request and handles all immigration paperwork so that the hired individuals can work with us.

We then need support for everything related to relocation where applicable. At Ubisoft, we are committed to making employee relocation a success. Therefore, my team handles flight tickets, temporary accommodation, as well as moving or relocation budgets, and we delegate all administrative procedures and permanent housing to an external partner like Anywr.

We appreciate Anywr's approach of pairing expatriate employees with a relocation agent who is responsive to their needs and understands their circumstances. The agent provided by Anywr is able to guide our employees towards similar communities and introduce them to familiar environments.

Our relocated employees are very satisfied with the services provided, which they find highly effective. Anywr's support makes their moves simpler because, as we know, relocation can become very complex and stressful. Having Anywr's support helps them greatly.

It is greatly appreciated to see that Anywr is invested in the success of each employee's relocation. On our side, internally, we also greatly value the collaboration with Anywr, particularly our exchanges with Christine Geffroy, our relocation collaborator.
