Payroll in bexio is connected to financial accounting and e-banking, so wages can be paid or posted without separate reconciliation. Monthly payroll reports and annual wage statements can be sent to employees by email or exported in bulk, and EMA reports allow entries, changes and exits to be reported to the AHV compensation office, the family allowance fund and the occupational pension provider. Companies can also give their fiduciary access to their bexio account for joint work on the books.

The payroll module is certified to Swissdec 5.3 and supports ELM, the electronic wage reporting procedure for transmitting relevant wage data to affiliated social insurers and authorities. bexio handles backups and software updates, and the payroll module sits alongside the company's other functions for contact management, quotes, invoicing and accounting.
