Sallis

Sallis is a Swiss payroll and employment services company that has offered Employer of Record (EoR) services since 2003. Its model allows companies to employ people in Switzerland without establishing a local subsidiary, while remaining compliant with Swiss regulations, taxes, benefits and payroll requirements.

Under the arrangement, Sallis concludes an employment contract with the worker and a service contract with the client company. Sallis registers each employee with the relevant insurance and pension fund, receives time statements from the client or the employee, pays wages in Swiss francs, issues payslips and then invoices the client, including details such as the employee name, calendar week, project description and hours worked. The employee continues to carry out the assignment under the client's direction.

The service covers freelancers, contractors, consultants and employees on part-time or full-time, fixed-term or open-ended contracts, and Sallis works with a flat-rate fee. Clients can estimate salary costs using an online calculator and request an offer. The company also states that it can apply for a 90-day work and residence permit on request and offers a choice of pension fund options.
