KPMG Türkiye provides payroll and personnel administration services as part of its accounting and financial advisory work. Its teams review incoming payroll data against income tax, social security and labour law requirements, transfer the data into payroll software, and carry out hourly, daily, monthly and annual payroll calculations. Payslips are distributed to employees by email or in sealed envelopes, and the firm prepares client-specific payroll reports, determines amounts payable and produces the corresponding bank payment instructions.

For finance and accounting departments, KPMG calculates annual leave, severance and notice provisions and prepares the journal entries arising from payroll. Statutory work includes Social Security Institution workplace registration, follow-up of e-declaration applications, preparation of official documents for employees joining or leaving, SGK entry and exit transactions, severance and notice calculations for departing staff, monthly SGK e-declarations and accruals, and reports filed electronically with the Turkish Employment Agency.

The firm also audits payrolls calculated in-house by clients, checking them periodically against tax and social security legislation and reporting findings to company and departmental management, and reconciles summary payroll figures with accounting records. Its process analysis work reviews the steps and role definitions of everyone involved in payroll, examines how payroll data is collected from other departments and employees, establishes work plans and standard documentation for coordination, and provides training for staff who generate payroll data, such as completing timesheets.
