Challenge
Microrectif-Micromec is a leading French provider of ultra-high-precision machining and grinding, specialising in single-piece and small-batch production of critical and complex components for major tier-one customers. The Group operates across the entire industrial process: machining, grinding and metrology. The shareholders wished to sell the company to enable its development under new governance.
Solution
Following the acquisition of Visco in July 2022 – a recognised player in high-precision mechanical machining of hard or exotic metals for advanced industries – Tikehau Capital, an alternative asset manager, continued its strategy of supporting and strengthening its position as a key partner to major French industrial sectors. With the support of Microrectif-Micromec, the new Visco-Microrectif-Micromec entity will be able to offer comprehensive services from machining through to grinding with short and controlled lead times. Expertise in manufacturing complex sub-assemblies in small and medium batches, combined with unique capabilities particularly in metrology (via the Zeiss Xenos three-dimensional machine, one of the most precise in the world), will enable the company to meet the requirements of strategic industries, namely defence, aerospace, space, energy and healthcare. The Financière de Courcelles / Exco Finance & Transactions team supported Microrectif-Micromec through this sale.
Results
The Financière de Courcelles / Exco Finance & Transactions team was delighted to have supported Microrectif-Micromec through this sale and confirms its strong momentum in the industrial and aerospace sectors.
