Challenge
A world-class property developer in Hong Kong – renowned for shaping skylines with luxury residential and landmark commercial developments across Asia – successfully implemented SAP SuccessFactors as its global HR platform.
To further extend its capabilities and meet the fast-changing needs of its local operations, the company sought a solution that could enhance and facilitate key aspects of its HR functions, such as:
- Support Hong Kong-specific payroll processing and requirements
- Enable multi-shift scheduling across diverse roles
- Easily configure complex allowance rules
Working with BIPO has been transformative for our HR operations. The seamless integration with our existing SAP SuccessFactors platform, combined with BIPO's local expertise in Hong Kong regulations, has allowed us to focus on strategic initiatives while ensuring full compliance and operational efficiency.
Solution
BIPO partnered with the client to deliver a two-phase implementation that complemented SAP SuccessFactors:
- **Phase 1**: Deployment of BIPO's core HR modules and a local payroll system, integrated with SAP SuccessFactors to synchronise employee records and compensation data.
- **Phase 2**: Roll-out of BIPO's Time & Attendance and Leave modules, designed to support multi-shift scheduling, overtime tracking, and special leave entitlements.
The combination of both BIPO and SAP's solutions empowered on-site teams and HR administrators to work efficiently. BIPO's HRMS platform provided a flexible system that fit easily with the client's existing setup and could scale to support their future growth.
Results
The property group now runs HR processes with seamless automation and compliance, allowing the HR team to shift its focus to high-impact organisational development, while ensuring:
- Accurate allowance and payroll calculations
- Streamlined scheduling across multiple shifts and sites
- Reduced errors through integrated data flows – without manual entries and duplication – keeping everything aligned across payroll, scheduling, and leave.
