BDO Suomi

BDO Suomi offers payroll administration and payroll processing services in Finland, covering payroll calculation under Finnish legislation and collective labour agreements as well as the related reporting. The service is available to small companies hiring their first employees and to larger organisations outsourcing their entire payroll function, and it also covers Finnish companies posting employees abroad and international companies employing people in Finland.

The firm's payroll work includes handling fringe benefits, holiday pay and holiday bonuses, average hourly and daily earnings, absence and leave tracking, overtime calculation, kilometre allowances and per diems, debt recovery deductions and trade union fees. It also handles non-standard payroll situations such as hourly-paid staff, deviating employment terms, net-to-gross calculations, posted and foreign workers in Finland, shadow payroll, insolvency-related payments, payments to people outside an employment relationship, and share-based rewards such as ESPP, RSU and PSU.

Statutory and administrative tasks include reporting to the Incomes Register with monthly reconciliations, statistical reports to Statistics Finland and to unions, monitoring the client's tax account, and assistance with Kela daily allowance applications and A1 certificates. BDO Suomi also delivers SEPA payment files or payment instructions, payment services through its own payment software, accounting and holiday pay accrual files, and client-specific reports, and it administers the time management and travel expense systems it provides to clients.

BDO Suomi is an authorised member of Taloushallintoliitto and within its audit scope, and as part of the BDO Global network it is covered by the network's ISAE 3402 audit. All services and reports are available in Finnish and English, and in Swedish when needed.
