Grant Thornton Taiwan

Grant Thornton Taiwan is the Taiwan member firm of the Grant Thornton network and provides payroll management and business process outsourcing services. It handles payroll for local companies and for the subsidiaries, branches and representative offices of foreign companies in Taiwan, with English-speaking staff on the team.

Services cover salary calculation and withholding, remuneration reporting, labour insurance compensation claims, paper and encrypted email payslips, enrolment, reporting and payment of labour insurance, health insurance and labour pension, salary transfers and payment of withheld taxes, year-end withholding certificates, and certificates of labour insurance and pension contributions. The team also produces payroll reports and accounting journal files for SAP and other systems, provides a cloud-based leave and attendance system, and assists with tracking supplementary employee pension plans.

Payroll is run on EZPAYROLL, software developed in-house, which issues encrypted payslips, uses an encrypted database, calculates withholding tax, checks labour and health insurance statements, imports and exports payroll data and keeps a system tracking log. The firm reports more than 20 years of payroll experience, over 300 clients, ISO 27001 certification and professional indemnity insurance, together with a documented disaster recovery arrangement.
