JobHouse Wins Contract to Outsource Workers for 7 Bridges Danida Project

Munck Civil Engineering, a Danish construction and civil engineering firm, won a major contract to execute the 7 Bridges Danida Project in the Northern Region of Ghana. The project involved the construction of 7 bridges and their afferent roads across three different localities in the Northern regions of Ghana, with a total contract value of €61 million and an execution period of approximately two years (October 1, 2018 to September 30, 2020). The primary challenge was recruiting and managing a large workforce of over 300 skilled and unskilled workers including accountants, site engineers, electricians, and general labourers across multiple construction sites in Ghana. As a foreign firm unfamiliar with the local labour market and employment regulations in Ghana, Munck Civil Engineering needed a reliable partner to handle the recruitment, management, and compliance requirements for this massive workforce deployment.

JobHouse Recruitment Agency signed a contract with Munck Civil Engineering to provide comprehensive outsourcing services for the project. JobHouse assumed full responsibility for the recruitment and management of over 300 staff members across various roles including accountants, site engineers, electricians, general labourers, and many other positions required for the construction project. The recruitment process was opened to the public with applications accepted until October 29, 2018. JobHouse managed the entire lifecycle of workforce management including recruitment, onboarding, compliance with local labour laws, and ongoing staff management throughout the project duration. By December 2020, JobHouse had managed over 900 staff members across the project, maintaining an average of 350 staff on various sites at any given time.

From the project start date in October 2018 through December 2020, JobHouse successfully recruited and managed over 900 staff members for the 7 Bridges Danida Project. The agency maintained an average of 350 staff on various construction sites throughout the project period. The successful staffing and management of this large-scale workforce enabled Munck Civil Engineering to execute the €61 million infrastructure project on schedule. JobHouse's performance was recognised through a staff awards programme introduced in December 2020 to recognise the immense contributions of workers since the project started. The awards programme included four categories (Employee of the Year, Stand Out Performer, Best Team Player, and Long Service Award) with five winners recognised for their exceptional performance and dedication to the project.
