Dantata and Sawoe Nigeria Limited is a leading construction company in Nigeria with over 40 years of working experience in delivering value-added civil and infrastructural projects. With staff strength of over 4,000 employees and a fleet of over 1,000 mobile vehicles, trucks, and construction equipment, the company operates across approximately one hundred locations throughout Nigeria. The primary challenge was managing attendance and payroll for such a large, geographically dispersed workforce spread across multiple construction sites, offices, and workshops throughout the country. The company needed to collect attendance data from various locations across Nigeria and consolidate it at the Head Office in Abuja for real-time monitoring and decision-making. Additionally, they needed to automate payroll calculations and ensure accurate reporting to managers, HR teams, accounts teams, and auditors.

Solution
Lenvica implemented its HRMS (HR Management Information System) solution at Dantata & Sawoe to manage their large workforce. The implementation included: Face Recognition devices deployed across various locations in Nigeria to record attendance data. For construction sites without internet connectivity, 4G-enabled Face Recognition devices were installed to communicate over the mobile network. The system collects attendance data from all locations and brings it to the Head Office at Abuja in real-time. The system provides daily, weekly, and monthly attendance reports to managers. Lenvica HRMS enables the HR Team to define organisational rules and automate payroll calculations at the end of each month. All calculations from punches to payslips are fully automated. The system provides payroll integration to SAP for the accounts team. The system generates meaningful reports for auditors. A Management Information System (MIS) portal was created for Top Management with real-time information from across Nigeria, providing overview and detailed dashboards on employee allocation and availability across zones. The HRMIS module provides real-time information including daily headcount reports and zone-wise headcount reports to support effective and timely decision-making.
Results
Lenvica HRMS has been an integral part of Dantata & Sawoe since May 2015 and continues to empower the company's team to manage the large workforce spread over approximately one hundred locations across Nigeria. The system has achieved the primary objective of cutting down payroll costs by ensuring optimum employee utilisation. The automated payroll processing eliminates manual calculations and reduces processing time significantly.
