Proffix

Proffix is a Swiss provider of business software that includes payroll functionality for companies operating under Swiss rules. Its payroll offering, including the PX5 Lohn module, is aimed at preparing wage statements that set out employee details, the accounting period, employment and workload, gross pay, statutory deductions and the net amount paid out.

The payroll area covers the wage components used in Swiss practice, such as base salary, overtime, bonuses, benefits in kind and allowances, together with the deductions calculated on them including AHV, ALV, BVG contributions and accident insurance. Withholding tax situations for foreign employees and cross-border commuters are also addressed.

Proffix supports the recurring payroll cycle, from creating individual payslips to closing the monthly wage period and carrying out year-end processing and the annual wage statement. It also covers special cases such as illness, accident and maternity, along with record retention, data protection obligations and clear communication of payroll information to employees.
