Police Health

Police Health is an Australian not-for-profit private health insurer that provides cover exclusively to the policing community. Eligibility extends to current, retired and former police officers and employees of state, territory and federal police departments, police recruits, current, retired and former employees and volunteers of police unions and associations, and family members including partners or spouses, parents, children, grandchildren and siblings.

The fund keeps its range to three top-level policies. Gold Hospital Cover is offered with no excess, no co-payments, no exclusions and unlimited ambulance, subject to policy conditions. Rolling Extras covers services such as dental, optical and physiotherapy and lets members carry unused benefit limits into the following year. Gold Cover Combined brings hospital and extras together and adds benefits including corrective laser eye surgery.

Police Health has operated for around 90 years and covers more than 100,000 members across all Australian states and territories. Because it is not-for-profit, the fund directs its focus to member benefits and value rather than shareholder returns, and members can obtain quotes, manage their membership and lodge claims through its online member services as well as by phone.
