Challenge
Bra Möbler wanted to streamline its accounting and payroll management. Having a single employee handle all of the company's finances is very risky—for example, if that person becomes ill or takes parental leave. The company needed a secure and scalable solution that would enable growth in Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
It's important to have an open mindset and to see it as a long-term investment. We at Aspia have solid experience in digitising our customers' operations and we are involved every step of the way to ensure everything is done correctly. — Jenni Keen, Partner and Authorised Accounting Consultant at Aspia
Having a single employee handle all of the company's finances is very risky—for example, if that person becomes ill or takes parental leave. It feels secure to have all the expertise pooled with Aspia. — Joakim Forslund, Managing Director at Bra Möbler
It has been valuable for us when we've encountered complex tax issues in connection with our expansion into Norway and Denmark. — Joakim Forslund
It's so important to feel genuine commitment from the people we work with, and we really do. I'm in contact with some people at Aspia on a daily basis, sometimes several times a day, and we always meet with such a friendly attitude. We also always get a quick response. — Joakim Forslund
Solution
Bra Möbler digitised its entire financial process with the help of Aspia. Initially, Bra Möbler's operations were digitised through Fortnox, before later transitioning to Microsoft Business Central to better manage its large inventory digitally. A major advantage of Aspia is that customers don't need to leave them as they outgrow certain systems. They remain part of MyBusiness and Aspia provides support regardless of which system the customer uses. Aspia's network includes approximately 1,500 accounting experts across the country, as well as Skeppsbron Skatt, Sweden's largest independent tax adviser with around 80 employees. For Aspia's customers, this means they have access to a broad network of tax advisers who are experts in various tax matters, including international VAT issues. In March 2022, Bra Möbler also launched in Norway and Denmark. Aspia and Skeppsbron Skatt assisted with VAT registration for the company in Norway and OSS registration for Denmark. They also adapted Bra Möbler's accounting system to simplify VAT reporting for each country.
Results
The digitisation process has led to significant efficiencies for Bra Möbler. Since digitising its payroll and accounting processes, Bra Möbler has grown every year. In 2019, the company had revenue of 74 million kronor, and since then revenue has increased by a further 25 per cent. They experienced a major difference when they crossed 50 million and started approaching 100 million kronor in revenue. There are a vast number of transactions to process, and if they hadn't had Aspia, it would have been difficult. Now everything happens digitally and they no longer have to deal with paperwork.
