Challenge
Specialsnickeriet was founded by four woodworking enthusiasts twenty years ago and today delivers doors of the finest craftsmanship throughout the country. Approximately seven years ago, the four founders decided to expand. They felt it was time to become a "proper company". At that time, Specialsnickeriet had a completely manual invoicing system. A system that meant, for example, Jimmy Olsson spent about three hours in the office every Sunday punching in and sending invoices. It was very time-consuming work. Moreover, there was the constant worry about what would happen if his computer was stolen or broke down.
We felt it was time to become a "proper company". Our children were getting older and we had more time to invest and dare to try to make a profit in the business. Thanks to Almi, which conducted a thorough review of the company, we gained a completely new energy and grew from four to nine people and from seven to twelve million in turnover within just a few years. — Jimmy Olsson

Then bang and everything fell into place! Today we do everything digitally and instead of 20-25 folders per year, it's now just two. The bookkeeping side is no longer so vulnerable either – it doesn't rest solely with me, as Aspia can step in and take over if something happens. But best of all is that Fortnox is integrated with the bank so the figures always balance to the penny. Previously, there was always money missing when it came time for reconciliation or year-end accounts. — Jimmy Olsson
Today I have much more time to be out and meet potential customers. Today the administrative work that previously took me three hours takes perhaps three minutes – now I can instead focus on growing the company. — Jimmy Olsson
Solution
The company moved its bookkeeping to Aspia's digital app MyBusiness, which works against the Fortnox system. All supplier invoices and the company's own invoicing now happen digitally. Not a single invoice needs to be registered – everything is automatic. This not only frees up time for other things, but also creates significantly more even cash flow in the company.
