In February 2021, Matrix HR was engaged to support a large-scale shipbuilding project in Bath, Maine, USA. The project required mobilizing 352 skilled tradespeople for permanent roles. Despite having no prior presence or established talent pool in the region, Matrix HR needed to successfully source and screen candidates to meet the project's workforce needs.
Solution
Matrix HR implemented a multi-faceted approach to identify and onboard qualified candidates:

- Structured Hiring Process – Screened candidates thoroughly before submission, coordinated with the client for feedback, and supported onboarding to ensure compliance with pre-employment requirements.
The workforce recruited included: Shipfitters, Welders, Crane Operators, Riggers, Shipwrights, Insulators/Pipe Insulators, and Sheet Metal Tinsmiths.

- 67 qualified candidates submitted for onboarding
