Small Business Payroll

Small Business Payroll offers a complete payroll service for small businesses in Ireland, starting at an annual fee of €329. The company registers clients as employers with Revenue, handles all required Revenue returns and correspondence for the duration of the subscription, and sets each client up on its cloud-based payroll system.

Payroll can be run weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly or monthly, with clients simply paying staff the net amount shown on the pay summary. Payroll data can be supplied as a file for upload to Quickbooks, Sage or Xero, and a direct debit is set up with Revenue so employee deductions and employer PRSI stay up to date. Clients access pay summaries, annual leave and timesheet approvals through a members' area, while employees can use an Apple or Android app to view payslips, submit timesheets and request holidays, or receive payslips securely by email. Leavers and replacements are processed at no extra cost, and the team advises on matters such as government wage subsidy schemes and splitting tax credits. An employment contract template covering statutory written terms is available for an additional €60.

Alongside payroll, the company provides bookkeeping, tax and accounts services to sole traders and micro, small and medium businesses nationwide, working with Sage, Xero, Surf and Quickbooks. Clients are assigned a dedicated accounts manager, and a team of accountants and tax advisors supports management reporting, filing deadlines, project profitability questions and budgeting.
