This system covers retirement pensions, disability insurance, survivor benefits, and healthcare through the mandatory health insurance scheme (obra social). The contributions fund both the pay-as-you-go pension system and comprehensive health coverage.

The National Administration of Social Security (ANSES) administers the system and enforces compliance through regular audits and employer reporting requirements.
