Mexico's National Minimum Wage Commission published new minimum wage rates effective January 1, 2025, representing a 12% increase across both geographic zones. The general minimum wage zone (covering most of Mexico) increases to MXN 278.80 per day, up from MXN 248.93 in 2024. The Northern Border Free Zone minimum wage increases to MXN 419.88 per day, up from MXN 374.89 in 2024. Both increases consist of an inflation adjustment plus a 6.5% discretionary increase. All professional, trade, and special job category minimum wages also increase by 12%.
